Download this event to my calendar - iCal
Time(s)9:05 pm - 9:45 pm
LocationYately Manor Preparatory School, Yateley Surrey GU46 7UQ
This indoor pool is a small warm venue suited for practice those skills you don’t want to practice outside in the winter time. Cars can be parked around to the left by the side gates and the pool is located directly through the gates on the left hand side.
Booking Cut Off: 5pm before the session starts. However if sessions are not sufficiently filled up at least 24 hours before, then sessions may be cancelled.
We have changed the layout of our winter sessions and will be evaluating how this new format works out over the next four weeks; so if you have any feedback (be it positive or negative), or any suggestions, then please do let us know by speaking to one of our volunteers at the sessions, or getting in touch with us by any of the normal means.
Type: Open/Mixed Session 3: Unstructured OR Advanced/Intermediate (check the timetable!)
- Unstructured: These session are open to all abilities, there won’t be any specific coaching theme but coaches will be available to supervise and support. Participants are welcomed to just turn up and paddle or come prepared with what they would like to learn/practise.
- Advanced / Intermediate: These sessions are aimed at members already comfortable with capsizing and looking to either progress, practise or refresh more advanced boating skills, such as safety skills, rescues, rolling and freestyle.
Description: Based on feedback from members in our latest indoor pool survey, we are trying something a little different to help accommodate both structured/coached and unstructured pool sessions, as well as offer sessions at differing ability levels. Each Wednesday night we be running 3 x 40 minute pool sessions capped at 6 participants so you can maximise the space. You can opt to attend multiple sessions each evening, however each session is charged individually. Two of the sessions will have a specific coaching theme and at least one session each evening will be unstructured, where coaches will be there to supervise and be on hand to help out, but there will be no specific coaching theme. The unstructured sessions will alternate each week with the intermediate/advance session so everyone has a chance to attend these some of the unstructured sessions if they would prefer supervised paddling.
Kit/Equipment Hire: Equipment is always available for use at official club activities however there is no equipment stored onsite for these events. Equipment available on site but limited types/sizes, so indicate on your booking if you need to use kit and where possible bring your own if you have your own. You can read more about our equipment, hire and usage here.
