Description: We’ll be hosting our annual New Year’s paddle on Sunday 2nd January 2022. The aim is to get everyone back together for a nice social paddle, after the festive season, and kick off the New Year. We will set off from the Guildford Waterside Centre and paddle into the centre of Guildford and back to the waterside centre again. Parking should be available at the waterside centre. The plan for the day is as follows:
- 09:30 – Kit collection at Aldershot Lido (for those borrowing kit)
- 10:30 – Arrive at Guildford Waterside Centre (everyone)
- 11:00 – On the water
- 13:30 – Off the water
- 14:30 – Drop kit back at Aldershot Lido (for those borrowing kit)
Kit/Equipment Hire: Equipment is always available for use at official club activities however there is no equipment stored onsite for these events, so if you require to equipment please complete a hire request or clearly indicate in your booking that you will need to borrow equipment (and whether you can transport the equipment yourself). We highly recommend where possible that you are able to transport your own kit, however understand not everyone has a van or roof rack especially those new to the sport, if this is the case ensure you fill in your request soon as possible. The current plan is to collect equipment from Aldershot Lido at 9:30am on the day; if you are borrowing equipment then it will need to be returned to the Lido immediately after the paddle (aiming to be at the Lido by 2:30 pm and no later than 3pm).
