Type: Group Come and Try It Sessions (min of 20 and max size of 30)
Suitability: All levels 8+ years old
Parking: Cars can be parked at the usual Lido Car Park and you can enter through the lido side gate.
Description:
The lido is a fantastic venue for trying the sport for the first time, improving skills and having fun; at these sessions participants can try out three different crafts, Stand up Paddle (SUP) Boards, Open Canoes and Kayaks.
Before the Session
- booking fee, £200 minimum for 20 participants must be paid immediately on booking
- extra participants at £10 each to be paid on confirmation of numbers
- please fill in a group form (pdf version) (word version) before your session and send this to blackwatervcc@gmail.com, this is so we have an idea how many volunteers would be required to run your session based on the ages and needs of your group as well as have your emergency contact information up front.

At the Session
- arrive only 5-10 mins before the start time
- please ensure your group do not enter the venue until you can see both a lifeguard and a BVCC volunteer is present
- participants should all be registered, so it can be beneficial for you to bring a printed version of group form (pdf version) (word version) on the night, as then you can help start this process yourselves, while you are waiting to enter the site
- ideally participants should arrive dressed ready to get on the water, as this will save time
- participants equipment requires to be adequately and correctly fitted, and checked by one of our volunteers
- you can only enter the water when a volunteer in florescent orange bib standing on the side has said it is safe to do so
- ensure good behaviour from your group;
