During the Summer… We paddle on the Aldershot lido.

We use the car park entrance to access the Pool on a Wednesday sessions. If in doubt, look for roof bars on cars and boats on cars, in the car park and find the open gate and walk inside.

If you have your own boat, we ask you to leave it on the grass bank by the gate. It just avoids confusion for those using club boats, not knowing if they are club or personal boats. Then if you walk around the outside of the pool to the side with the changing rooms on and where other people are usually gathered around and follow the signs to pay the entry fee. You’ll get a coloured bib, which we ask you to wear on the pool, so we can see who has and hasn’t paid and then it’s time to get changed and get paddling.

If in doubt or the signs are not visible, ask someone and they’ll point you in the right direction! We’re all here to help!

In the Winter… We locate ourselves inside the Scout Hut, Tongham.

When it gets slightly lighter outside, around February/ March time, you’ll find us at the Basingstoke Canal Centre.

If you can find a parking space within the car park and then walk around the first building you see upon entering the car park, you should find a door. If you’ve gone through a white wooden barrier, you’ve gone too far. It usually is open, but if for some reason it’s closed, knock on the window and someone will let you in.

There should be some people with boats either on the water or on the bank or both. You can get changed in the canal centre’s facilities usually, if someone has opened it. Then find a member of the committee and let them know you’re new and we’ll go from there.
